Join the Spring 2025 Leadership Bootcamp to meet other like-minded participants in the nation’s capital to learn from experts about how to address the national debt and apply a fiscal lens to your advocacy work and campaigns on campus.

From January to April, the Up to Us Leadership Bootcamp will empower college students with the skills and knowledge needed to understand fiscal policy and community organizing. The program will focus on raising awareness of the national debt and its impact on creating a sustainable economic future for generations to come. In March, students will gather in Washington, D.C., to deepen their understanding, connect with peers, and enhance their ability to address critical fiscal and economic challenges. Participants will also receive the tools, resources, and funding necessary to organize and execute their own campus events focused on fiscal issues.
Eligibility: Who can apply?
- Students currently located and enrolled in a U.S.-based accredited university/college
- Preference is given to undergraduate students but graduate students are welcome and encouraged to also apply
Participants will receive:
- Resources and $250 in funding to launch their own community organizing activity during the Spring 2025
- An all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC, for the weekend-long in-person event
- Access to thought leaders and changemakers from a variety of backgrounds
- Connections with like-minded students from across the country
- Knowledge of economic and fiscal policy and its various implications at local, state, and federal levels
- Experience crafting a policy solution to the growing national debt and presenting it to an expert panel
