In the fall of 2021, Up to Us collaborated with Net Impact to launch a new film screening program designed to create a space for the exploration of purposeful dialogue around uniting our country. The program centered around the documentary film, The Reunited States, which explores bridge-building and addresses hyperpartisanship in a constructive way, all while weighing what is currently at stake.

As part of the program, which wrapped up at the end of December, fifteen select US Net Impact chapters were given special access to the documentary and a discussion guide to help them execute an event focused on the main themes of the film. Chapters then hosted conversations, explored new ways of practicing deliberative dialogues, and took turns sharing, learning, and listening.

The Reunited States Film Screening program helped to exhibit what is at the heart of the Up to Us Movement - the belief that there is power in our collective action and that democracy only works through the active participation of all voices. With those values at the core of what we do everyday, we know we can help create inclusive, lasting, and meaningful change.
